Inaugurated on May 9, 1995, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Victory Day, Victory Park memorializes the end of World War II, specifically the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany. Located on Poklonnaya Hill, the park is a symbol of Russian resilience and sacrifice.
Spanning 135 hectares, it features a central avenue, fountains and sculptures.
At the heart of the park lies the Memorial Museum of the Great Patriotic War, an expansive museum that paints a vivid picture of World War II through a collection of artifacts, photographs, and interactive exhibits. Adjacent to the museum, the Eternal Flame burns continuously, honoring the memory of the millions who lost their lives.
Victory Park attracts millions of visitors annually. You can learn more about it during our Moscow Driving private tour.
