Tour Itinerary

  1. The Auditorium and Historic Stage

The interior and coziness of the legendary hall will leave no one indifferent. You will be able to see the famous 19th-century crystal chandelier, consisting of more than 25,000 crystals. You will also be impressed by the golden curtain of the historic stage, which weighs over 1,000 kg. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to sit in the front rows of the stalls, where ticket prices can reach $10,000.

  2. The Governmental and Imperial Boxes

We invite you to visit the most coveted boxes of the hall. On performance days, access here is granted only to the President of Russia and his high-ranking guests. At various times, this space has hosted Mao Zedong, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, Fidel Castro, Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana, and many others.

  3. Stalin's Secret Box

Before the reconstruction, it was armored and fully protected against potential assassination attempts on the leader.

  4. The Rehearsal Stage

Visit the upper rehearsal stage, closed off from the public, which is located above the historic stage and is identical to it in size. If you're lucky, you might even catch part of a rehearsal.

  5. The Underground Hall

Visit the underground Beethoven Hall beneath Theater Square, where you will learn about the underground life of the Bolshoi Theater, including its secret exits to the metro.

  6. The Small and Grand Imperial Foyers

Explore the foyers featuring antique furniture and luxurious items of the Russian Emperors. The Small Imperial Foyer has a secret: if you stand in the center of the small hall, your voice will become several times louder.

  7. The White Foyer

Visit the exhibition in the White Foyer, where you will see historic costumes, archival photographs, as well as video recordings of current performances at the Bolshoi.
